SYNOPSIS
Sun Jiayou comes home from medical school with big plans: revive his family's struggling medicine shop and honor his grandfather's legacy. What he discovers instead is that his hometown operates on an entirely different rulebook. When Jiayou insists on bringing modern Chinese medicine into this world anyway, he catches the attention of the spirit messenger, a being tasked with maintaining the boundary between the physical and spiritual realms. Their conflict escalates quickly. Each confrontation peels back another layer of Jiayou's understanding, revealing that something far larger than a simple clash between medicine and mysticism is at play. The more he pushes forward with his mission, the closer he gets to uncovering the truth about his grandfather, his hometown, and the hidden rules governing existence itself.
