Two thousand years ago, grieving the scholars lost when Qin Shihuang burned books and Epang Palace went up in flames, a descendant of the Yinyang tradition began sealing the souls of the dead literati inside brushes so their gifts could pass to later generations. In the present day, ordinary college student Luo Zhongxia stumbles onto the brush holding Li Bai's spirit and gains supernatural powers from it. Before long, rival forces come after that power, and Luo keeps landing in danger. Hoping to escape the conflict, he searches for a way to give the brush up, but every attempt fails. Instead he becomes tied to seven brush spirits and is drawn into the world of the pen tomb, slowly growing from a student who runs from trouble into a responsible pen tomb official. The twelve episodes of this ONA mix drama with fantasy.
