Four episodes of Yusuke having the worst nights of his life. The comedy isn't trying to build anything, doesn't care about continuity, doesn't need the main plot. It's just watching a teenager get humiliated in the most absurd ways possible while his subconscious works overtime. The show knows it's nothing. That's exactly why it works. You're not investing in story. You're just laughing at a guy who can't catch a break even when he's unconscious.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Nightmare Hakusho is a four-episode OVA built around the weird dreams of Yusuke. Rather than a straight adventure, it is a comedy, and it plays his strange dreams for laughs across its four short parts.
