Twenty-seven heroes crammed into one middle school club, and nobody's fighting anything, they're just making udon together. Yuuki Yuuna strips away the magical girl weight and replaces it with something quieter: a family so large and strange it stops being about destiny and starts being about who shows up to help you cook. This is comfort food disguised as a show about comfort food.

In year 300 of the Divine Era, heroes and shrine maidens from every age have been called into the world of the Shinju after the sacred tree faced a crisis. They have all ended up in the Sanshuu Middle School Hero Club, which has grown into one big household of 27 members. Club president Fuu Inubouzaki, who brought this group of powerful friends together, announces the long-awaited creation of Hero Club Udon. Short comedy episodes follow the everyday life of this crowded club family.
