SYNOPSIS
A young kappa named Genjyo Sanzo inherits a crumbling temple and an unlikely mission: travel west across a hostile, demon-infested landscape to stop a catastrophe that threatens both the human and yokai worlds. Alongside a crude treasure hunter, a temperamental monkey, and a pig who speaks his mind too freely, Sanzo finds himself far removed from his sheltered temple life and thrust into a journey that demands he grow up faster than he ever expected.
