A song so simple it sounds like it's always existed. Forty-four cats singing in perfect unison, each one a different color, each one moving exactly when the music tells it to. The whole thing takes three minutes and leaves you humming it for three days.

44 Hiki no Neko is a one-episode music video set to the Japanese rendition of 44 Gatti, an Italian song from 1968 that debuted on the Italian television show Zecchino D'Oro. The Japanese adaptation reached audiences in 1969, when NHK presented it on its program Minna no Uta. The piece carries the Italian song to Japanese viewers in animated form.
