Nobody's making a show about Japanese history through cats as a serious premise. That's the entire point. You get actual historical figures, actual events, actual chronology, all delivered through a filter so absurd it stops being about education and becomes about the joy of watching Oda Nobunaga scheme as a tabby. The comedy lives in that collision: real history treated with complete earnestness by characters who are literally meowing their way through the Sengoku period. It's a show that knows exactly how ridiculous it is and never apologizes for it.
