Chidori's entire existence is a punchline that never gets old. A ninja obsessed with serving a historical figure who would absolutely find her insufferable, filtered through rapid-fire gags that prioritize landing jokes over plot coherence. The show knows exactly what it is: twenty-six minutes of a girl trying to be useful while the universe conspires to make that impossible, and it commits fully to that bit.

Chidori is a young ninja with one dream: helping the Warring States warlord Oda Nobunaga reach his goals. As a child she nearly drowned in a river and was saved by him, and she has wanted to repay that debt ever since. She looks sweet and harmless, but her skills are formidable. Years later she and her friend Sukezou enter Nobunaga's service. While he repels invaders and eyes neighboring territory, Chidori gathers intelligence and eliminates key targets, all while coping with the lively crowd of his relatives and retainers. The episodes are short, gag-driven comedy.
