A man wakes up in a world that forgot itself, and he decides to remember for everyone else. The film doesn't explain the wind or promise answers, it moves through an America turned savage, watching one person try to rebuild what amnesia erased. He teaches a girl to read. He shows strangers fire. Small acts of restoration become the whole story because there's nothing bigger to fight for anymore.

A mysterious wind erases the collective memory of humanity in an instant. Civilization crumbles as people lose their names, their speech and any sense of how the world works. Cars crash, planes fall, and society regresses into chaos and savagery. Two years later, a young man stumbles into a military testing facility and meets Johnny, a frail boy whose experimental memory treatment left his mind intact. Johnny names him Wataru and teaches him all he can before his body gives out. Wataru then sets off to find others like himself. In San Francisco he meets Sophia, a silver-haired woman who will not discuss her past and is bound for New York, and the two travel across a devastated America together. Along the way they learn what has become of the rest of society and what it truly means to be human, in a psychological sci-fi drama with mecha action and mystery.
