Starlight Academy's middle school announces a Unit Cup, and the eight two-member idol units taking part are fired up to compete. The event's broadcast adds a special corner of its own, in which the idols report on what their fellow performers are really like behind the scenes. The film compiles episodes from the third season of Aikatsu!: the Aikatsu Restaurant episode, followed by the Unit Cup arc. It adds new segments of commentary from Akari, Madoka, Juri and Sumire, and it forms part of the 10th anniversary celebrations for the Akari Generation. Music is at the center of this idol showcase.
