Mao Otoha has reached the top of her idol career, performing as the leading idol Hana in Aikatsu Planet. A few months after the Planet Princess Grand Prix, she is a second-year student at Seirei Private High School with a schedule packed every day. Her fans have changed and moved her, and their support is what lets her stay active as an idol. Wanting to thank them and the other people who matter to her, Mao launches the Aikatsu Planet! Gratitude Festival. The film is a music-driven slice-of-life continuation of the Aikatsu Planet! series, and it screened in theaters together with Aikatsu! 10th STORY: Mirai e no STARWAY.
