Anime Like Alice in Deadly School
A one-episode OVA that tries to be Alice in Wonderland meets zombie outbreak and mostly fumbles the landing. The manzai duo at its center has real chemistry, and the direction occasionally finds genuinely clever angles during the chaos. Gore splatter doesn't justify itself, it exists because the premise demanded it, not because the story earned it.
SYNOPSIS
Two comedy performers find themselves caught in a nightmare when their school transforms into a hunting ground for something inhuman. Yuu and Nobu are rehearsing their manzai routine on the roof when the building below descends into chaos. A parasitic creature has infested the campus, biting students and transforming them into extensions of itself. The infected become vectors for further infection, turning the school corridors into a labyrinth of danger where survival hinges on recognizing who has already been compromised. Trapped with a handful of other students, Yuu and Nobu must navigate the claustrophobic horror of their own school while keeping their wits sharp enough to stay alive. The comedy duo's chemistry becomes their lifeline as they search for an escape route, but trust becomes impossible when infection spreads silently and the infected disguise themselves among the survivors. This short unleashes supernatural terror in a confined space where every corner could hide a threat and every classmate could be an enemy. It's visceral, claustrophobic horror that treats its premise with genuine menace rather than school-based melodrama.
