A school full of girls cursed by bad luck shouldn't be this warm. Anne-Happy treats misfortune like a shared language instead of a plot device, turning every pratfall and collision into proof that you're not alone in your mess. The comedy works because it never punches down at these girls for being unlucky, just celebrates them choosing happiness anyway, one small victory at a time.

Hibari, a level-headed first-year at the elite Tennomifune Academy, is placed in Class 1-7, where the school seems to have gathered every student burdened with bad karma or misfortune. While the other first-year classes focus on academics or sports, this one has a single aim: happiness. On her first day she meets An Hanakoizumi, who is energetic but terribly unlucky, and Botan Kumegawa, whose health is frail. Hibari herself struggles with love problems. Together with classmates such as the emotionally stunted Ren Ekoda and Hibiki Hagyuu, who often loses her sense of direction, they try to turn their school life into a happy one. The result is a lighthearted comedy about everyday school life.
