In the ruins of Tokyo's Ginza district, the Gingarou Hotel still stands. Nature has overgrown much of the city, and humanity left Earth long ago because of its toxic atmosphere, so no guest has come through the doors in decades. The year is 2157, and the luxury hotel is run entirely by robot hoteliers. Yachiyo, the robot serving as acting acting manager, works every day with her mechanical colleagues to keep the place in perfect condition. One by one, staff members have stopped working, and there is no way to repair or replace them. Yachiyo keeps going anyway, honoring a promise she made to the hotel's owner before he left, and she stays hopeful that people will return and that she will see him again. The result is a comedic, slice-of-life science fiction series with an air of survival and mystery.
