A show that weaponizes language itself, treating spoken word and written text as literal forces that shape reality. The mecha battles are just the stage for a stranger argument: that human voice, messy and imperfect, is more true than any fixed word on a page. Akira and his team don't pilot robots to save the world, they pilot them to keep reality from being rewritten by things that claim to be permanent.

Words have power, but not always the kind that helps. When humanity moved from speech to writing, a realm called the Logos World formed between the voice and the truth. Millennia later, that realm has grown too vast for texts to be kept in check. The sorcerer Sogan Kenzaki infects words with the Nesta Virus, bringing them to life as monsters known as MJBK. To fight back, the organization DEAVA gathers young people gifted with Verbalism, who pilot vector machines that combine into the mecha called Aquarions. Among them is a wild card: Akira Kaibuki, a self-proclaimed savior from Asagaya descended from a famous calligrapher. The result is sci-fi mecha action built around a fantasy premise about the power of language.
