SYNOPSIS
Earth's alien invasion stretches into its seventh year, and humanity's desperation reaches a breaking point. When a covert research facility attempts to revive a captured biomechanical extraterrestrial, the experiment spirals catastrophically out of control. The creature escapes into the wilderness, and the sole survivor, Takuto, awakens in a hospital stripped of everything: his career, his credibility, his future. But the alien,now calling itself Frank,doesn't act like a weapon. It's searching for connection, drawn inexplicably to Hattie, a traumatized girl haunted by humanity's first brutal contact with the invaders. Their impossible bond catches the attention of Funeral, a shadowy government organization that sees opportunity in both the creature and the broken scientist who understands it best. As Takuto is pulled into Funeral's ranks, he finds himself caught between protecting Frank and serving an agency with its own agenda. Trust becomes a luxury neither can afford when every choice risks triggering the very war Earth can't survive.
