But death isn't the end. In that final moment, she glimpses a future Earth left barren by the Raaja, evil forces born from the toxic pollution humanity has created. A man named Chris Hawken offers her a second chance at life if she will stop them. Returning as the Avatar of Time, the one being who can decide the planet's fate, Juna must shed her thoughtlessly destructive habits and master her new powers. Along the way she confronts hard questions about how science and technology have cut people off from their instinctive bond with nature. With help from Chris, his assistant Cindy Klein and the international organization SEED, she has to overcome her fears and protect everyone and everything she cares about.
