Vanilla and Coconna walk back into Uoodo after 24 years and the show just lets them exist in that space, cracking jokes and moving like people who've fought through hell together and survived. The banter lands because it knows exactly who these characters are to anyone who's been paying attention since 1983. A red-shouldered AT waits in that arena, and suddenly you're not watching a reunion, you're watching time collapse, old wounds reopen, and the question of whether Chirico Cuevas can ever really come home getting answered in the only way this franchise knows how.

For their silver anniversary, Vanilla and Coconna travel back to Uoodo together with Gotho, hoping to find Chirico again. When they get there, they come across an AT with a red shoulder at the Battling arena. Released 26 years after the original Armored Trooper Votoms series first aired, this six-episode OVA was planned as the closing chapter of the franchise, bringing mecha action, drama and science fiction to one last story.
