Myne's world is big enough that her life keeps happening even when she's not saving it. These two stories are just people around her being themselves, a priest's aides failing to blend in, Corinna fussing over a dress, and somehow that's enough. It's what the main series earns: the permission to sit in her life and just breathe.

Two separate stories unfold in this side story collection set within the world of Ascendance of a Bookworm. In the first, Head Priest Ferdinand wants to learn more about Myne and her unusual background, so he sends two nobles, Eustachius and Eckhart, into her hometown to look into every part of her life there. Their undercover outing does not go as they planned. In the second, Corinna, the wife of Otto, becomes interested in the outfit Myne wore for her baptism. She calls Myne to her home along with her mother Effa and sister Tuuli, hoping to find out how such refined clothing and accessories were made, and Myne sees a chance to turn a profit. Both stories take place at the end of the first part of the original light novels.
