When a mysterious emerald flash petrifies every human on Earth, high schooler Taiju Ooki is cut off just as he begins confessing his feelings to Yuzuriha Ogawa. He awakens several millennia later to a world where nature has taken over and humanity survives only as stone statues. There he finds his science-obsessed friend Senkuu, who has been up and about for a few months and has a bold plan: bring civilization back through science. Pairing Taiju's strength with Senkuu's intellect, the two discover a way to revive the petrified. But the people they wake do not all share Senkuu's ideals, and the cause of the petrification remains a mystery. The result is a sci-fi adventure with plenty of action and comedy.
