The Sumeragi Group, a vast conglomerate, keeps the peace, but in secret it captures adepts and subjects them to inhumane experiments. Gunvolt, one of the most powerful adepts, can create electrical fields and belongs to QUILL, a group set on exposing Sumeragi and stopping its hidden agenda. One evening he sets out to infiltrate a Sumeragi facility to win freedom for his fellow adepts, and his story begins when he meets the heroine, Sian.
