SYNOPSIS
A hunter named Ryo accepts a grim contract: eliminate the creature terrorizing a village. Witnesses claim it's Bagi, a mysterious cat-woman who moves through the darkness leaving destruction in her wake. As Ryo prepares his weapon at the water's edge, memories flood back. Years ago he discovered Bagi as a helpless kitten, intelligent beyond measure, capable of learning to write. He protected her, cared for her. But somewhere between that bond and now, something changed. She returned to him transformed, dangerous, driven by instincts neither of them can control. Her nature remains an enigma. Bagi exists between worlds: part human consciousness, part animal savagery, wholly uncertain of her own identity. Ryo must reconcile the creature he once loved with the threat she's become. When she finally emerges from the night, he faces an impossible choice: complete the hunt, or find answers about what made her this way. The line between mercy and survival collapses entirely.
