Anon walks into Haneoka expecting a cute band story, and MyGO!! destroys that assumption by episode three. What unfolds is a character study about broken people trying to fix themselves through music, animated with such precision that every glance and pause carries weight. The show doesn't ask if these girls can form a band, it asks whether they can survive knowing each other, and that question tears everything open.

Anon transfers to Haneoka Girls' Academy partway through the year, where nearly every student plays in a band, and she wants to fit in by starting one of her own with herself as vocalist. Because she arrived late, few girls are left to recruit. She befriends Tomori Takamatsu, a shy girl known as the school's oddball, who seems interested but holds back. Tomori was once in CRYCHIC, a middle school band whose ugly breakup left her deeply scarred. Through her, Anon meets former members Taki, who wants nothing to do with her, and Soyo, who gladly offers help. The result is a music drama with a slice of life pace.
