It puts you back in the same vice grip the first season did: watching Legoshi try to build a future with Haru while his own body keeps voting against him. Orange's CGI is still the flex here, faces that carry shame and hunger in the same twitch, fur and muscle rendered with a weight most 2D shows can't buy, and the soundtrack still knows exactly when to drop out and let a growl do the work. This is the Melon endgame, and the staff clearly weren't content to just transcribe the manga's final pages, they went in swinging to rework the landing. Fair warning for the manga readers who already know where this goes: the closing stretch wobbles, both in polish and in people making choices that don't quite track with who they were. It's still the only show where a gray wolf's crush on a white dwarf rabbit reads as a thesis on appetite and consent, not a Zootopia bit. Stay for Legoshi, who never once gets to stop choosing.

The second part of BEASTARS Final Season continues Legoshi's story. He hopes for a future where he can be with Haru and where carnivores and herbivores can live side by side. To reach it, he keeps to a hard road, standing against those who do wrong while struggling to hold back his own instincts. The series is a psychological drama with mystery and slice of life elements, where the pressure comes as much from inside Legoshi as from the world around him.
