A year before Ren Mihashi's high school debut, Naoto Kaguyama is the ace pitcher on the baseball team at Musashino High. When freshman pitcher Motoki Haruna arrives and Kaguyama sees how seriously he trains, the short-statured ace starts to fear losing his spot on the mound. He wonders why such a committed player would choose their low-ranked school, and how the team could become worthy of Haruna's talent. Feeling his position slipping, Kaguyama considers quitting, until Haruna opens up about his own past and persuades him to stay. This one-episode special is a sports drama set before the main story.
