Sebastian stages Hamlet with a household staff that includes a circus ringmaster, a snake charmer, a grim reaper, and an undertaker, all of them taking it completely seriously. The bit works because everyone commits to the bit, there's no winking at the camera, just genuine theatrical chaos where the worst possible people somehow pull off Shakespeare. You watch a demonic butler teach a kid in an eyepatch and a guy who literally collects corpses how to nail their blocking.

When the theater troupe hired for the Phantom Company's third-anniversary charity play is caught in a ship accident on the way to London, Earl Ciel Phantomhive has no cast for a show meant for poor children. He orders his butler Sebastian to make the play a success. Ciel, his fiancée Elizabeth, his three servants, Lau and Ranmao, and Soma and Agni begin rehearsing Hamlet as a ragtag group of amateurs, and Undertaker and Grell turn up as well. The comedic fantasy special asks whether this unlikely company can get the performance ready in time.
