A quiz show where the Magic Knights captains get roasted for not knowing basic stuff is exactly what this show needed. The comedy lands because you're watching genuinely competent people fail at trivia, and their pride takes the hit every time. Asta and Yuno watching from the sidelines while the squad leadership implodes is the kind of dumb fun that makes specials worth existing. This isn't trying to move the plot forward or add anything permanent. It's just a room full of powerful mages being humbled by questions they should have known the answer to.

The Magic Knights step away from battle for a lighthearted quiz show in this one-episode Black Clover special. The captains of the various squads compete, and Asta and Yuno join them. Made for the Jump Special Anime Festa 2018, it trades the main story's fantasy action for comedy, putting the familiar knights in a game setting where answers count instead of spells.
