BLAME! 2 is the second film adapted from the Blame! manga, following the 2017 movie. The earlier film is set in a far-future world where a past infection sent the automated systems out of control. The result is a city that keeps building itself outward in every direction, while a defense system called the Safeguard hunts down the humans who have lost control of it. This follow-up blends action, drama, mecha and psychological science fiction.
