This is the breather Blue Lock earned. Four episodes of Nagi being exactly what he is without the weight of the main story hanging over him, just a kid who discovered something he's good at and is still figuring out what that means. The comedy lands because it's built on actual character voice, not recycled anime jokes about food or accidents. It exists to remind you why you cared about these people in the first place before everything became about winning.

Blue Lock: EPISODE Nagi - Additional Time! is a set of four mini anime shorts made to accompany the Blue Lock: EPISODE Nagi film. Each one played after the film's credits, and a new short replaced the previous one every week of the theatrical run. All four were later gathered on the Blu-ray release. The shorts lean toward comedy and slice of life within a sports franchise.
