Blue Miburo returns for a second season of fourteen episodes, adapted from Yasuda Tsuyoshi's historical action manga. The first season opened in 1863, as the shogunate neared its end and bloodshed filled the capital. It introduced Nio, a young orphan driven by a strong sense of justice, and his meeting with Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji, founding members of a despised band of ronin. This new drama picks up their story.
