It's 2060 Tokyo, and the city's third Olympics is just around the corner while a covert robotics program moves forward in secret. Then word of a terrorist threat arrives. Takeru, 28, is an operator at an AI institute that keeps the public safe using remotely controlled robots. He pilots T-004, a humanoid robot so lifelike that most people can't tell it isn't human. His heart, though, has long belonged to Saki, his first love from his youth and the sister of his coworker Youichirou. When Saki encounters T-004, she begins to feel drawn to the robot, believing it is a man called Tsubasa. The result is a sci-fi romance built around a man whose feelings reach the woman he loves only through the machine he operates.
