If you know Zetsuai, you already know Takuto and Koji's relationship lives in the space between what they say and what they can't. This OVA pulls you into that silence through Nanjo's songs, each one a different way of trying to speak what the show itself won't let them. The surrealism doesn't soften the longing, it deepens it, and by the third watch you're not hearing the music anymore, you're feeling the distance between two people in the same room.

Koji Nanjo stands at the intersection of music and visual storytelling in this singular OVA release. Rather than a traditional narrative, the project functions as a curated experience: five of Nanjo's compositions serve as the spine, each one paired with original animation that reveals intimate moments between Nanjo and Takuto. These aren't throwaway music video sequences. The animation captures unguarded exchanges and subtle emotional beats that exist outside their primary story, providing depth to their dynamic through carefully crafted scenes. The collection culminates in an original art gallery curated by Minami Ozaki, shifting the experience from sound and motion into visual stillness. This structural choice creates a meditative quality, inviting viewers to sit with what they've witnessed rather than rush toward closure. What emerges is something closer to a character portrait than conventional entertainment. The OVA targets viewers comfortable with unconventional formats, those who appreciate how music and image can communicate feeling when dialogue steps back. It's an artifact designed for fans already invested in these characters, offering new dimensions to their relationship.
