Broots is a six-minute pilot special that served as an early version of Mighty Orbots, with the title pronounced "Brutes." Rob and Ono look close to their later designs but carry a stronger late 1970s style. The Orbots already use the names they keep in the finished series, yet their designs differ in small ways and are clearly unfinished. Their combined form, called Super-Broots, would also change further before becoming Mighty Orbots. For fans of mecha and science fiction, the pilot offers a look at an early stage of the show's development.
