SYNOPSIS
A manhunt goes catastrophically wrong when sniper Shen La stumbles into an alien cave and awakens something dangerous inside himself. Rescued by the mysterious Wu Rendi, Shen La and his partner Sun Desheng find themselves conscripted into the Bureau of Paranormal Investigation and Research, a shadowy organization dedicated to containing supernatural threats. Their initiation is brutal: desert rescues, cryptic tests, and the constant suspicion that Shen La's newfound abilities make him as much liability as asset. The Bureau's corridors crackle with tension as factions debate what to do with him. Then a wave of paranormal comas sweeps through Kylin City, and a second anomaly surfaces in the form of Yang Liao, another white-haired man with powers the Bureau struggles to understand. As internal politics threaten to tear the organization apart, Shen La must navigate his role as both investigator and suspect while unraveling what these strange phenomena truly are and why the Bureau exists in the first place.
