A street kid who talks too much gets dropped into Earth's first shot at intergalactic basketball. The Gorons are faster, stronger, taller, everything humans aren't, which means Hideyoshi has to figure out what humans actually are. The show doesn't get bogged down in drama. It lives in that space where a three-pointer might save your planet, and that's enough.

Hideyoshi, a street punk who has turned pro, is drafted onto the Earth Team, a basketball squad made up entirely of humans, and could hardly be more full of himself. The team still has to face the Gorons, a race of aliens whose physical superiority has let them rule the game for some time. Fresh obstacles block the way: Hideyoshi is unhappy with his team, and the Gorons have new tricks ready. Blending sports action with science fiction, the question is whether the Earth Team can rise to the challenge and win the championship for its home planet.
