A band trying to save a single festival performance doesn't sound like much until you realize the show cares more about the music than the drama. The pop rock OST carries scenes that would be forgettable anywhere else, turning a cancelled stage and a stubborn keyboardist into something worth fighting for. It's a quieter love letter to what it actually means to make something together, not a story about people who happen to play instruments.

Mika Katagiri wants her band to play at the upcoming local festival, but things go wrong before they get the chance. Their keyboardist, Jun, won't perform, and the stage they were counting on has been cancelled. Mika refuses to give up, and she and her bandmates set out to find some way onto the festival bill, whatever it takes. Canary is a single-episode OVA that blends music, romance and fantasy.
