The animation doesn't just carry this story; it IS the story. Every sword swing moves with the weight of Meng Chuan's rage at his mother's death, particle effects landing like they cost something instead of being sprinkled on for free. You watch a man becoming a weapon because the animation proves it with every frame, not tells it with dialogue.

A four-episode action fantasy ONA continuing Cang Yuan Tu, set after the major fight in Dongning Prefecture and before Meng Chuan climbs Yuanchu Mountain. Questions surround the Yuanchu City Guardians, the Heavenly Demon Gate, a demon extermination association and an evil spirit.
