The original Bottleman already proved the formula works: short episodes, drink puns that land, a kid and his bottle cap partner grinding through battle after battle with zero irony. DX doesn't reinvent that. It deepens it. The sequel trusts you already know why you're here, so it stops explaining and just lets Kouta face opponents who force him to actually think about what "Bottle King" means instead of just winning the next match.

Cap Kakumei Bottleman DX is the second season of Cap Kakumei Bottleman, an action series told in 51 short episodes that began airing in 2022. The first season centered on Kouta Kouga, a boy who aims to become the world's top Bottle King through Bottle Battles in the virtual Drink World. There he teamed up with his Bottleman partner Colamaru and fought a range of rivals.
