Anime Like Charlotte: Strong People
A mind reader who can see every move coming before you make it forces the show to think faster than it ever has. SYNOPSIS
A clairvoyant kid tips off Nao and Yuu to another ability user in town: Iori Sekiguchi, a girl who reads minds. The catch is that her power makes her impossible to catch or reason with. Every approach they plan, she already knows about it before they make a move. The two find themselves in a cat-and-mouse game where conventional tactics crumble the moment they conceive them, forcing them to think sideways just to get close enough for a conversation. What unfolds is part comedy, part genuine tension as Nao and Yuu scramble to outmaneuver someone who literally sees their thoughts coming. The OVA balances the frustration of being outplayed at every turn with moments of levity as their schemes inevitably backfire. There's also an underlying question of why Iori keeps running, what she's protecting herself from, and whether force or deception is even the right approach.
