Chi-Sui Maru is a perfectly ordinary mosquito who loves nothing more than drinking human blood, and he has developed a particular taste for Nobuo, a perfectly ordinary office worker. Nobuo, for his part, hates being bitten and refuses to be beaten by a mere insect. Chi-Sui Maru spends his days hunting his favorite meal while Nobuo fights back, and their ongoing battle of attack and defense drives this short-form comedy. The comedy hinges on treating this mosquito-versus-human dynamic with genuine stakes and slapstick energy.
