Anime Like Chikyuu Daisuki! Kikkun
SYNOPSIS
An alien invasion force touches down in Japan with conquest on their minds, but Kikkun and the squad assigned to this sector quickly discover something unexpected: Earth is actually kind of great. The comfortable living, the food, the hospitality of the locals, the whole vibe really, makes it hard to remember why they came here in the first place. As weeks turn into months, the original mission to subjugate the planet starts feeling less appealing than simply existing here and maybe, just maybe, helping protect it instead. What begins as a straightforward hostile takeover becomes something messier and funnier: extraterrestrials learning to love a planet they were supposed to destroy, grappling with loyalty to their command back home while forming genuine bonds with the people they were sent to conquer. The conflict between duty and newfound belonging drives the story forward, all wrapped in a tone that balances sci-fi absurdity with genuine warmth. This is a show about finding home in unexpected places and what happens when invaders become residents, told through the eyes of creatures learning that destroying something beautiful might not be worth it after all.
