Nobody's heard of this one. A two-episode OVA from 1988 where a kid with the worst timing in history keeps accidentally saving the world while trying to do literally anything else, the comedy lands because the show commits to the chaos without winking at the camera. The action is cartoonish in the best way, built around a central joke that never gets tired because Takamaru himself never learns.

Chou Bakumatsu Shounen Seiki Takamaru is an action, comedy and fantasy OVA from J.C.STAFF.
