Kanipan keeps inventing his way out of problems because he genuinely doesn't know what else to do, and that's somehow both hilarious and devastating when the stakes suddenly become real. A girl with no past washes ashore, he decides to fix her like he fixes everything else, and the show quietly reveals he's been running from something bigger than lost memories the whole time. The mecha fights matter less than the kid learning that some things can't be reverse-engineered back to what they were.

Kanipan's teenage years are anything but ordinary. Now older, he is still a well-known inventor. His routine shatters when a strange ship falls from the sky and crashes on a beach, and inside he finds a female humanoid who has lost all memory of herself. Kanipan sets out to help her remember, and along the way he stumbles onto the discovery that his planet is in serious danger.
