Anime Like Choujigen Game Neptune THE ANIMATION: Hidamari no Little Purple
The Neptune OVA trilogy wraps by doing what the series does best: turns a threat into an excuse for the cast to be ridiculous together. Watching four goddesses get de-aged and watching their siblings panic-search while cracking jokes the whole way is the show admitting it knows exactly what it is. A final victory lap for people who stuck with these characters through three OVAs, not an apology for existing.
SYNOPSIS
A devious villain's attack strips the CPU goddesses of their power and ages them down to children, scattering them across the world with no memory of who they are. Nepgear and her crew spring into action to track down their missing sisters, only to discover they're not the only ones affected. Neptune, the series' irreverent protagonist, ends up stranded in the countryside running an eggplant farm alongside Magiquone, the very enemy who orchestrated this chaos. Both reduced to their younger selves and completely amnesia-stricken, they form an unlikely partnership, unaware of their true identities or the conflict brewing around them. This OVA balances absurdist comedy with genuine heart as the goddesses navigate their bewildering new circumstances. The fish-out-of-water scenario of Neptune living a peaceful farm life creates constant friction and humor, while her companions desperately search for answers. It's equal parts silly slice-of-life and action-packed rescue mission, delivering the chaotic energy longtime fans expect while introducing an unexpectedly touching dynamic between enemies forced to depend on each other.
