Azmaria Hendric, the shy songstress who spent most of Chrno Crusade being protected by everyone else, finally gets the microphone and walks you through the stuff the series blew past while Rosette was totalling another car: Prohibition-era America, the Magdalene Order's place in it, the religious scaffolding holding the whole thing up. Every frame is recycled from the main show, and that is the point. You are meant to run these alongside your rewatch, one short at a time, letting the world thicken instead of racing to the ending you already know hurts. Low spectacle, deliberately slow, useless if you have not seen the series. But if you have, half the background you nodded past suddenly clicks, narrated by the one character who earned the right to explain it.
