Ryo Saeba solves Tokyo's unsolvable cases with the same energy he pursues women, relentlessly, without shame, completely committed to the bit. The real comedy lives in Kaori's hammer coming down, episode after episode, because someone has to. You're watching a show that knows exactly what it is: a man and a woman in perfect comedic orbit, where the mystery is just an excuse to watch them collide.

Ryo Saeba works the streets of Tokyo as a sweeper for hire, a private detective with a second job cleaning up crime. When the police can't or won't deal with a problem, clients come to him, and Ryo answers. His partner Kaori Makimura works beside him. He is highly capable, but he loses his head around beautiful women, so Kaori takes it on herself to shield female clients from his advances, usually with a giant hammer. In one case the pair must protect a rising young idol from a stalker. When the same culprit turns on Kaori, Ryo is shaken and finally gets serious, in his own unorthodox way. The show mixes comedy with mystery, pairing crime cases with the running slapstick between Ryo and Kaori.
