This one works on you sideways, in seven bite-size chunks that never raise their voice. It is a school comedy set in Tokyo in 2034, but the future here is background texture, not plot fuel, so the pressure stays on the gags and the faces making them. Kei drew it, the same hand that gave Hatsune Miku her look, and Gonzo colors those designs loud enough that even the quiet episodes pop. The episodic build is the whole strategy: each installment picks a different surreal premise, swings, and gets out before the joke wears through. Not every swing lands, and there is no throughline to carry you past the ones that miss, which is exactly why it lives or dies on your patience for shorts. Watch it the way it was made to be watched, one at a time, between other things.

Since 2029 the whole country has used electronic money, so nobody carries cash anymore. Most people have no idea who controls the money. Their only concern is how much they can spend each month and not going over that limit. The seven-episode ONA mixes comedy with science fiction and was made jointly by Gonzo and Kei, the illustrator of the Copihan manga.
