A cow stands in a field and nothing happens. That's the entire point. The pencil-sketch texture, the eraser-rubbed softness, the animals that drift through like they're half-remembered, this is what comfort actually feels like when animation stops trying to impress you. For 1 minute, the world asks nothing of you.

A cow spends a long, peaceful day, and the film simply keeps her company through it. Along the way come small episodes featuring odd, gentle animal characters, some sweet and some a little mystical, and they are often amusing. The images are plain line drawings with a pencil look that seems partly rubbed away by an eraser, which gives the whole short a distinctive, soft texture. There's no urgent narrative driving forward, and the pleasure lies in its mood and its hand-drawn charm. The short fantasy film was made by a student and earned an Encouragement Prize in the Animation Division at the 11th Japan Media Arts Festival.
