A wolf too soft to be predatory, a rabbit too angry to be cute, a cheetah too clumsy to chase anything. Every animal here fails at being what it's supposed to be, and somehow that's the entire joke and the entire heart. The show doesn't need a story, it just needs five minutes to watch Uruno's hopeless crush stumble through existence while everyone around him is equally, perfectly broken. This is what happens when a comedy stops pretending character archetypes need to make sense and just lets them collide.

Uruno is a good-for-nothing wolf traveling in search of a new home. He stumbles onto a forest full of animals who fail to live up to what their species is supposed to be: a bad-tempered rabbit who smokes, a unicorn who drinks sake, a nearsighted eagle, an orca that cannot swim, and a timid pegasus. After a brief scuffle with the rabbit, Usahara, he is ready to move on. Then he meets Chiiko, a clumsy cheetah, and falls for her on the spot. He decides to stay, hoping that someday he can win her heart despite being useless, provided his eccentric new neighbors do not drive him away first. The short episodes play this odd forest life for comedy, drawing laughs from the gap between what these creatures ought to be and what they are.
