It sings at you. That is the thing nobody warns newcomers about: the student council of Shikou Academy will corner Ritsuka Tachibana over the Forbidden Grimoire and then somebody breaks into a full musical number about it, and Fortuna keeps that nerve intact. The art is clean, the sound mix is the best this property has ever gotten, and the songs carry the emotional freight the script no longer has time for, because this is a feature trying to hold devils, vampires, exorcists, Rem Kaginuki, and Lindo in ninety-odd minutes. If you did not watch the series, you will be lost by the time Roen opens his mouth. If you did, you are here for one thing anyway: seeing Ritsuka stand between her brother and the boys who want her blood, and hearing it in harmony. Bring the context. Nobody hands it to you.

Ritsuka Tachibana leads a calm, unchanging life until Rem Kaginuki, president of the Shikou Academy student council, seeks her out, and she starts having strange encounters with the council's members. Her older brother Lindo has also just come back from studying in the United Kingdom. One day she returns home to find her mother collapsed, with suspicious hooded men nearby. They are not human but devils, vampires and exorcists searching for the Forbidden Grimoire. As her everyday world falls apart, Rem helps her through the crisis and she slowly grows attracted to him, while the secret her brother keeps only adds to her confusion. Caught at the center of a supernatural romance, Ritsuka must decide which path to take.
